“Leaving 10 years behind, and with the goal of bringing our indoor cycling reality platform closer to global customers and partners, VirtualTraining now becomes Rouvy. Besides a domain move and a new user-friendly identity, our training app has undergone serious simplification improvements in user experience. Now it is easier to connect your training hardware and manage subscriptions, so you are ready to ride in a few clicks. The knowledge base will be completely updated as well. So, we expect that beginner cyclists from all over the world will appreciate the new changes,“ says Petr Samek, one of VirtualTraining’s founders and CEO. “A special dish is a new Rouvy League concept that will be published in September. Rouvy riders are to be awarded with great prizes for their efforts all year long.”
Platform includes 1500+ routes with high-quality synchronized videos, workouts, multi-rider mode for group rides, online races and more. VT is one of the TOP 5 most used software applications by the cycling community for indoors. 29 million kilometers have been ridden altogether over time on its real-but-virtual roads, and the number continues to climb. Initially partnered with CycleOps and Powertap for rolling out a year-round training solution, VT currently supports all kinds of indoor trainers and partners with Tacx, Wahoo Fitness, Elite, Kinetic and many others.
Samek continues, “For more experienced cyclists, we are happy to announce public beta for our Advanced Pedal Analytics. Our team believes it will become a significant virtue over time. As the first power meters and power-based trainings were gimmicks in the beginning, so advanced pedal data will become a standard eventually. Coaches and pro-riders will learn gradually how to extract credible improvements in pedaling technique. At least now, with Rouvy, they have a tool to accomplish it and research the matter in depth. At the moment, you can get hold of it only with PowerTap P1 pedals, but support for other powermeters with advanced pedal data, like those of Garmin and Elite, is in the works as well. Of course, this is just a start. We have plenty of ideas of how to proceed with an advanced pedal metrics concept.”
Rouvy invites all cyclists to check out its combination of unique features with TrainingPeaks Workouts integration and advanced pedal metrics ecosystem at https://rouvy.com.
